On your arrival to the port of Koufonisi a member of our team will welcome you and give you a transfer to our location. You may reach Koufonisi daily by boat from Piraeus (the port of Athens), Rafina (a port near Athens) or the major cycladic islands such as Mykonos, Paros, Santorini, Naxos or Syros. It is also possible to arrive to Koufonisi with your own yacht or get to the island via helicopter.
There is a plethora of vessels reaching the port of Koufonisi. During summer, there are at least 2-3 daily trips from Piraeus but be aware to book early enough – especially during peak season. The trip lasts from 5 to 8 hours depending on the vessel. There is also daily ferry from Rafina port (25km from Athens) reaching also Tinos and Mykonos. Koufonisi is also connected on a daily basis with the other cycladic islands; SeaJet arrives from Milos, Mykonos, Santorini while the historic Express Scopelitis joins Koufonisi with Naxos and Amorgos.
It’s not a surprise that a tiny, almost circular island of a radius of about one kilometer has no airport. However, most visitors from central Europe are choosing to fly to Naxos, Mykonos or Santorini airport and combine it with appropriate ferry connections. An alternative option is via helicopter since Koufonisi has an official Heliport.
